The 2011 College World Series game between the Florida Gators and Vanderbilt Commodore's seemed like it was destined to never end. The game that began Monday afternoon finally ended just minutes ago as the Gators pulled off the 3-1 win.
The hero for this game has to be Florida's Steven Rodriguez.
Rodriguez pitched 4 1/3 innings of relief over two days without giving up a hit! The Gators sophomore lefty retired three batters Monday night before storms came rolling into Omaha and delayed the game until today.
Rodriguez was summoned back into today's game and did even better! He pitches 3 1/3 innings without giving up a hit, striking out 6 of the 11 batters he faced today! What a great performance!
The only scoring in the game for the Florida Gators came with one swing of the bat, when Preston Tucker homered to right in the 4th inning scoring Fontana and Zunino ahead of him.
One thing to remember about the 2011 College World Series is that if you are working or can't get out to see the action, you can catch it online on ESPN3.
Odds makers have Virginia as the favorite to win this years CWS, but these Gators may be a good play at 4/1.
"I love watching college baseball, I just wish they would use wood bats." Cary of Warren MI. said. "Next year I hope Michigan can make it to the Series."

(CNN) -- Nearly five months after signing off from MSNBC, left-wing news personality Keith Olbermann returned to the airwaves Monday with the relaunch of his signature "Countdown" show on Current TV.
While known for generally opposing Republicans and supporting Democrats, Olbermann signaled that both parties would be targets in his "Special Comment," a segment that was also part of his previous show.
"The nation is losing its independence through the malfeasance of one party and the timidity of the other," he said, according to the show's blog.
Still, the early take from the inaugural show suggested it would lean left, as evidenced by one segment labeled "Inside the Republican Cult."
Guests included liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, Daily Kos blogger Markos Moulitsas and John Dean, a former White House counsel to President Richard Nixon and now a conservative critic. Olbermann said he will be a frequent contributor to the show.
Olbermann abruptly left MSNBC in late January after eight years at the news network. In his time there, the former sports news anchor became a favorite of progressives for challenging rivals at Fox News and elsewhere, though he also faced criticism and publicly aired his frustrations with NBC's management.
He signed a deal weeks later with Current Media, a company founded in 2005 by former Vice President Al Gore and Joel Hyatt. Besides hosting and producing his new prime time nightly news and commentary show, Olbermann is also Current Media's chief news officer and has an equity stake in the company.
The 52-year-old had been suspended from MSNBC for two days in November 2010 after the news website Politico revealed he had made donations to three Democrats .
That includes $2,400 -- the maximum amount that can be given by an individual -- given to the campaign of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, an Arizona Democrat who was seriously wounded in a mass shooting in Tucson. He also donated to the campaigns of Senate candidate Jack Conway of Kentucky and U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona. Conway lost his bid, while Grijalva and Giffords won.
Olbermann's alliance with Current TV is another major transition for a man who, before his time with MSNBC, spent 13 years with the sports network ESPN. Current TV can be seen in more than 75 million households worldwide.
If you've had problems accessing Netflix.com and the company's streaming services, you're not alone.
Users have taken to the web to gripe about issues they've had loading Netflix's site to both order and stream content. Netflix's movies.netflix.com is reportedly up and running for many, though subscribers say that they cannot access Netflix via their iPad or Apple TV.
Gigaom's Om Malik writes, "For past hour or so, I have been trying to access the service but I have been unable to watch it on my iPad or on my Apple TV. It is about 8.40 PST."
TechCrunch notes of the outage:
Reports of inability to access the site have been popping up since 5:23 pm PST according to one user and the website currently displays the above “service down” message (Netflix on the Wii and the iPad is still working apparently). There’s no word yet on whether this is part of a recent spate of hacks on services like Sony and Sega.
Twitter has been full of complaints from Netflix subscribers who are unable to access content. Some are already suggesting that a cyber attack may be to blame.
@Johullrich tweeted, "#netflix is down. Now the question is not how long until it is back up, but how long until users/pw database is posted."
Netflix has yet to offer an update on the situation via its official Twitter account
LOS ANGELES, KOMPAS.com -- Batalnya pernikahan bos Playboy Hugh Hefner (85) dengan model Playboy Crystal Harris (25) yang sedianya akan berlangsung pekan ini mulai terjawab.
Kabar pengkhianatan pun menyeruak.
'The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart,' begitu tulisnya.
The New York Daily News.
WASHINGTON — The White House is telling Congress thatPresident Obama has the legal authority to continue American participation in the NATO-led air war in Libya, even though lawmakers have not authorized it.

In a broader package of materials the Obama administration is sending to Congress on Wednesday defending its Libya policy, the White House, for the first time, offers lawmakers and the public an argument for why Mr. Obama has not been violating the War Powers Resolution since May 20.
On that day, the Vietnam-era law’s 60-day deadline for terminating unauthorized hostilities appeared to pass. But the White House argued that the activities of United States military forces in Libya do not amount to full-blown “hostilities” at the level necessary to involve the section of the War Powers Resolution that imposes the deadline.
“We are acting lawfully,” said Harold Koh, the State Department legal adviser, who expanded on the administration’s reasoning in a joint interview with White House Counsel Robert Bauer.
The two senior administration lawyers contended that American forces have not been in “hostilities” at least since April 7, when NATO took over leadership in maintaining a no-flight zone in Libya, and the United States took up what is mainly a supporting role — providing surveillance and refueling for allied warplanes — although unmanneddrones operated by the United States periodically fire missiles as well.
They argued that United States forces are at little risk in the operation because there are no American troops on the ground and Libyan forces are unable to exchange meaningful fire with American forces. They said that there was little risk of the military mission escalating, because it is constrained by the United Nations Security Council resolution that authorized use of air power to defend civilians.
“We are not saying the president can take the country into war on his own,” Mr. Koh said. “We are not saying the War Powers Resolution is unconstitutional or should be scrapped, or that we can refuse to consult Congress. We are saying the limited nature of this particular mission is not the kind of ‘hostilities’ envisioned by the War Powers Resolution.”
The administration unveiled its argument at a time when members of Congress have shown increasing skepticism about the Libya operation. On June 3, the House of Representatives passed a resolution declaring that the mission had not been authorized.
On Wednesday, the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, Republican of Ohio, sent Mr. Obama a letter pointing out that even under a flexible interpretation of War Powers Resolution that would allow hostilities to last 90 days without Congressional authorization, Mr. Obama was out of time. Mr. Boehner demanded a legal explanation by Friday.
“Given the mission you have ordered to the U.S. Armed Forces with respect to Libya and the text of the War Powers Resolution, the House is left to conclude that you have made one of two determinations: either you have concluded the War Powers Resolution does not apply to the mission in Libya, or you have determined the War Powers Resolution is contrary to the Constitution,” Mr. Boehner wrote. “The House, and the American people whom we represent, deserve to know the determination you have made.”
It remains to be seen whether majorities in Congress will accept the administration’s argument, defusing the confrontation, or whether the White House’s response will instead fuel greater criticism. Either way, because the War Powers Resolution does not include a definition of “hostilities” and the Supreme Court has never ruled on the issue, the legal debate is likely to be resolved politically, said Rick Pildes, a New York University law professor.
“There is no clear legal answer,” he said. “The president is taking a position, so the question is whether Congress accepts that position, or doesn’t accept that position and wants to insist that the operation can’t continue without affirmative authorization from Congress.”
Ten members of Congress — led by Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Democrat of Ohio, and Rep. Walter Jones, Republican of North Carolina — filed a lawsuit on Weednesday asking a judge to order Mr. Obama to stop the air war. The suit asserts that the operation is illegal because Congress did not authorize it. That lawsuit faces steep challenges, however, because courts in the past have dismissed similar cases on technical grounds.
The administration had earlier argued that Mr. Obama could initiate the intervention in Libya on his own authority as commander-in-chief because it was not a “war” in the constitutional sense. It also released a memorandum by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel agreeing that he could do so unilaterally because he anticipated that its nature, scope, and duration would be limited.
